About Afterset

Afterset is a public, catalogue-backed social archive for live music. You record which individual performances you attended, optionally rate each from half a star to five, and see your personal diary alongside what everyone else in the room thought.

What we rate

The canonical rated object is the set — an artist's performance at a venue as part of a night. The night is a container and is not rated. “Set” applies equally to DJs, bands, solo performers, live electronic acts, and other in-scope music performers.

The first-session promise is an immediately meaningful personal archive, not an empty feed. The repeat social payoff is comparing taste after a shared night or festival — then seeing who else was there.

How we're different

• Catalogue before contribution. Exact historical performances are ingested so recognition replaces data entry.
• Ratings lead. The primary action is logging and rating a set; social behaviour follows from shared attendance.
• Post-event consensus. After a night or festival, compare which sets landed, which divided opinion, and how your ratings differ from the room.
• Public web distributes the product. Artist, set, night, venue, review, and profile pages are readable and shareable without an account.

Afterset launches in London, covering the electronic/club and bands/alternative/live circuits. The catalogue holds the last 24 months of listings at curated venues. Reading is open to everyone; you only need an account to save what you log.

Who it's for

People aged 13 and over who attend live music in London. Afterset is not a ticketing platform, a discovery feed, or a promoter tool. It is a diary for people who go to shows and want to remember them properly.
