Terms of use
Last updated August 2026 · Draft for review
These terms govern your use of Afterset (“the service”). By creating an account or contributing content, you agree to them. This is a product draft — final legal review is required before public launch.
Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Afterset. If you are under 18, additional privacy defaults apply automatically. We use age assurance before account creation; false age declarations may result in account termination.
Your account
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
- One person, one account. Multiple accounts to manipulate ratings are prohibited.
- Your handle must not impersonate others or violate our community standards.
- You may delete your account at any time through settings.
Your content
You retain ownership of the ratings, reviews, and other content you submit. By publishing content publicly, you grant Afterset a non-exclusive licence to display, distribute, and index it as part of the service. You can change visibility settings or delete content at any time.
You must not submit content that is illegal, harassing, defamatory, spam, or that violates someone else's rights. See our Community standards for details.
Our catalogue
Afterset maintains a catalogue of artists, venues, nights, and sets sourced from public listings and community contributions. Catalogue data is provided for reference; we do not guarantee completeness or accuracy. We may merge, split, or correct catalogue entries without notice.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download catalogue data without permission
- Attempt to access other users' private data
- Interfere with the service's operation or security
- Use the service for commercial purposes without our consent
- Reverse-engineer or copy the service's design or functionality
Disclaimers
Afterset is provided “as is”. Ratings and reviews reflect individual opinions, not ours. We do not endorse any artist, venue, or event. We are not responsible for third-party links or content.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Afterset is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months (which, for a free service, is zero).
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated via the service or email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
